Månen is designed as a private ambient soundscape app. Its core audio playback works offline.

Data Collection

Månen does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other directly identifying information.

The app does not require an account, email address, phone number, location access, contacts access, calendar access, microphone access, camera access, or photo library access.

Analytics and Tracking

Månen uses AppMetrica for product analytics. The following categories may be collected:

Identifiers: a pseudonymous, app-specific device identifier.
Usage data: the selected soundscape mode, listening-session start and end, session duration, and playback errors.
Device and diagnostics data: app version, operating-system version, device model and technical diagnostic information.
Approximate location: country or region inferred from the IP address. Månen does not request access to iOS Location Services.

This information is used only to understand app usage, diagnose technical issues, and improve Månen. It is not linked to your name or contact details.

Månen does not collect precise location, audio content, advertising identifiers (IDFA), contacts, photos, or user-generated content. The AppMetrica advertising module is not included. The data is not used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Analytics information is transmitted to and stored on Yandex infrastructure in the European Union and the Russian Federation. For more information, see the AppMetrica data processing terms.

Audio Playback

Månen plays audio files bundled with the app. Playback can continue in the background and on the Lock Screen using standard iOS media playback features.

Network Access

Månen does not require network access for its core audio functionality. A network connection is used to transmit the analytics data described above.
